How do I enable phone notifications?

Open Settings → Phone Notifications and tap Enable Web Push Notifications. SundaySync will only ask your browser/device for permission after you tap that button — never automatically.

On iPhone or iPad, you’ll need to first Add SundaySync to your Home Screen from Safari’s Share menu. Apple requires this before web apps can send push notifications.

How do I reset my password?

From the login screen, tap Forgot password, enter your email, and look for a message from SundaySync in your inbox (check spam if you don’t see it). The reset link is good for one hour.

How do I delete my account?

Open Settings → Danger Zone → Delete my account. You’ll be asked to type DELETE and confirm your password. See our Delete Account page for what happens after.

How do I install SundaySync to my phone?

iPhone / iPad: open SundaySync in Safari, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen. Launch it from the new Home Screen icon.

Android: open SundaySync in Chrome, tap the menu (⋮), then Add to Home Screen or Install app.

How do I manage my availability?

Open Settings → Availability. From there you can add block-out dates, set a preferred serving frequency, and pause scheduling temporarily if you need a break.

Leaders can still override availability when needed, but they’ll see a warning first — and overrides are logged on the event so the team has visibility.

Why didn't my volunteer get a notification?

Check three things: (1) the volunteer has notifications enabled in Settings → Phone Notifications; (2) the relevant category toggle is on (e.g. Team assignments); (3) on iPhone, they’ve added SundaySync to the Home Screen.

If all three look right and notifications still aren’t arriving, email us with the volunteer’s email and the event details.

How do I upgrade to Pro?

Open Settings → Billing and tap Upgrade to Pro. Pro is $50/month flat and includes unlimited members and every Pro feature — no per-user pricing, no add-on maze.

How do I cancel?

Open Settings → Billing and tap Cancel subscription. Your workspace stays on Pro until the end of the billing period you’ve already paid for.

Is SundaySync safe for our church's data?

Yes. All traffic is encrypted in transit, passwords are securely hashed, sessions use HTTP-only cookies, and every workspace is isolated from every other workspace. See our Privacy Policy for the full picture.

Troubleshooting basics

  • Stuck on a screen? Try a hard refresh (Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+R).
  • Can’t sign in? Reset your password from the login screen. After four failed attempts your account is temporarily locked for security.
  • Notification permission denied? Open your browser’s site settings for SundaySync and re-allow notifications, then return to Settings → Phone Notifications and tap Enable again.
  • Reset link expired? Reset links are valid for one hour. Request a new one anytime.

Browser support

SundaySync works on the latest versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge. For the best experience on mobile, we recommend Safari on iPhone/iPad and Chrome on Android. Web push notifications require an up-to-date browser and (on iOS) installing SundaySync to your Home Screen.
